Casino Admiral San Roque re-opening on Wednesday

In Spain, the Casino Admiral San Roque some seven miles north of Gibraltar is set to re-open its doors tomorrow after Austrian gaming giant Novomatic spent upwards of $5 million on a complete renovation for the once-derelict venue.

The Andalucian venue in the town of San Roque was closed by previous operator Groupe Partouche in 2010 with the loss of 40 jobs before being purchased by casino operator Admiral Casinos And Entertainment, which is a subsidiary of Gumpoldskirchen-based Novomatic, in 2014.

The first phase of a three-step renovation on the 42,000 sq ft property, the Casino Admiral San Roque will offer 100 slots alongside eight gaming tables when it opens on Wednesday while future plans could see the construction of over 100 hotel rooms as well as a cinema, shops, nightclub and spa.
